Invention Lesson Plans for Grades K-12

Now that you have a prototype of your idea, it’s time to gather user data again. The purpose of this survey is to get feedback on your user’s experience with the product.
Work with your team to create a second survey. You should use both qualitative and quantitative questions. Refer to your initial survey responses, the research you have conducted on your problem, and what specific information will help you to improve or market your idea. Think about the following:

-
What problem does this invention solve for you?
-
What do you like most/least about this invention?
-
What makes this product stand out from competing products?
-
Can you think of any way we could improve this product?
-
How likely is it that you would recommend this product?

Once your survey is completed, you will meet with your team to analyze the results, and summarize them in a Word Document that will be added to the team Log Book.
-
Using your data, you will create a graph or interview analysis that will be part of your final Tri-Board presentation.
-
The data your team collects will help you to adjust your ideas and help explain your team's design process to the judges in the competition.
-
Complete Interviews and Second Survey before our next class.
-
Analyze the data to adjust your team's idea based on feedback.
